2027 marks Paul Patterson’s 80th birthday. To celebrate this milestone, a recording project is being developed to bring more of Patterson’s orchestral music to audiences and musicians, globally. At the heart of the project are the release of two albums of premiere recordings on the Orchid Classics label:

  • Orchestral works with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Veronika Lemishenko (harp) and Timothy Redmond (conductor)
  • Concertos with the Manchester Camerata, Leon Bosch (double bass), Ben Goldscheider (horn), Mark Simpson (clarinet) and Timothy Redmond (conductor)

These recordings aim to secure Paul Patterson’s legacy, enabling future audiences, broadcasters, performers, and educators
to hear more from one of Britain’s great musical voices. With his milestone birthday, there is now a great opportunity to capture these works, with the composer present.
